Position:	Head of Safety & Technical
Employment Type:	Full time
Position Description:	The Head of Safety & Technical will be responsible for technical and safety functions of Altara Consulting.
They will be responsible for:	Managing the company’s outsourced safety management programme Developing and marketing in conjunction with the CEO the outsourced safety management programme Designing, developing and implementing safety management programmes on behalf of clients Designing, drafting, developing and implementing safety management manuals Conduct of risk assessments Providing technical pilot expertise to clients Conduct quality checks of documentation completed by other consulting personnel Technical manual development and writing Representing Altara in the aviation industry Delivering projects on time and within budget
Location:	Essendon Airport, Melbourne
Reporting to:	Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications/Skills:	Territory qualifications in safety management or aviation related disciplines Previous technical pilot / manual writing experience Previous sales and marketing experience Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

Position:	Document Controller/Technical Writer
Employment Type:	Full time.
Position Description:	The Document Controller/Technical Writer will be self motivated, punctual, well presented and have excellent interpersonal skills.
They will be responsible for:	Formatting of client and company documentation and material Responsible for outsourced document control duties on behalf of client organisations. Coordination of minor projects Answer and coordination of customer inquiries Production, control and distribution of all operational documents including initial issue and subsequent amendments to manuals, amendments, and company notices Maintenance of the Company Document Control Manual Maintenance of document databases which reflects distribution and revision status of manuals held by staff Maintenance of the company reference library Maintenance of all company division forms.

Qualifications/Skills:	Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage client relationships. Expert Microsoft Word skills Expert PowerPoint skills Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills Ability to work unsupervised and to strict deadlines Previous aviation experience an advantage.

Position:	Consultants
Employment Type:	Full time, part time and casual positions available.
Position Description:	Consultants will be self motivated and effective communicators who work well in an unsupervised environment.
They will be responsible for:	Manual and or report writing Liaison with client personnel Coordination of minor projects Providing advice to clients in areas of technical expertise Representing Altara at industry forums relating to specific technical disciplines Development of procedures and processes for clients relating to specific technical areas Representing clients to various safety and government bodies Conducting audits in areas of technical expertise Working with clients personnel to assist them with projects and provide technical advise Conduct assessments of documentation to ensure safety and compliance with applicable regulations. Provide advice on obtaining regulatory approvals Project plan development Conduct site visits to assess operational safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
