Altara Training has an extensive range of highly qualified, experienced trainers across a number of disciplines.

Our team has worked in a multitude of environments globally and has extensive experience with students who speak English as their second language.

Our training team has delivered training to all levels of the industry, from general aviation companies through to full service international airlines as well as some of the worlds leading aviation regulatory authorities.

Skywest Cadet Pilot Training Program

The CASA accredited Skywest Cadet Pilot Training Program was developed by Altara Training and Ansett Aviation Training in partnership with Skywest Airlines.

The program will offer a limited number of successful applicants a direct career path into Perth-based Skywest as a Fokker 50 pilot.

Twenty candidates with little or no flying experience who meet Skywest's requirements for aptitude, attitude and motivation will be accepted into the comprehensive training program annually.  Once chosen, selected applicants will then complete a rigorous 15-month training program that includes extensive ground theory, training on sophisticated flight simulators and a minimum 155 hours of actual flight time before being endorsed and ready to undergo further pilot training at Skywest.
